Capsule Geology

The Idaho showing is located at the south end of the Idaho Crown Grant (Lot 2836) south of the Big Missouri deposit (104B 046). In 1967 the property was explored by Granduc Mines Ltd.

Located in the Intermontane Belt, the area, bounded on the west by the Coast Crystalline Complex and on the east by the Bowser Basin, is part of the volcanic arc assemblage of the Stikinia Terrane.

Mineralization is hosted by the Upper Triassic to Lower Jurassic Hazelton Group, Unuk River Formation metavolcanics. The Hazelton Group is a northwest trending steeply east dipping belt of folded andesitic lapilli tuffs, flows and breccia containing a thick sequence of argillite and siltstone infolded along a synclinal axis. The sequence is intruded by the Early Jurassic Texas Creek plutonic suite of dacitic porphyry dykes.

Mineralization was broken into and exposed for about 3.3 metres and estimated to be from 7.6 to 10.6 metres wide. Country rock in the area have been silicified, pyritized and sheared. A sample of the mineralization assayed 17.14 grams per tonne gold (Grove, 1981).

In 2006, Pinnacle Mines reported that several days were spent looking unsuccessfully for the Idaho zone. Pinnacle plots the Idaho zone area further west than the MINFILE plot (Figure 7, Assessment Report 32699).

Work History

From 2004 to 2010, a total of 50,305 metres of drilling from 324 surface holes was completed by Mountain Boy Minerals and Pinnacle Mines to expand and infill the known mineral resources in the Main Breccia zone.

In 2010, Jayden Resources (formerly Pinnacle Mines) completed 2,808 metres of drilling in 18 NQ-sized core surface drill holes in order to expand and infill the known resources. Four drill holes were drilled on the Kansas Crown Grant, ten drill holes were drilled on the Big Missouri (405872), one drill hole was drilled on each of the Silver Coin 9 (406223) and Dan Fraction (404872), and two drill holes were drilled on the Packers (405874) mineral tenure for a total of 18 drill holes. The drilling program targeted potential mineralization along strike and improved the definition of high-grade zones within the Main Breccia zone (104B 150).
